萧伯纳是著名爱尔兰剧作家、诺贝尔文学奖获得者,他不仅因为极高的文学造诣被人们所熟知,更因才思敏捷和语言幽默而被人称道。言语幽默是幽默的一种,关于言语幽默也一直有多种学科和视角的研究。本文试图从认知语言学概念转喻的视角出发,以萧伯纳的幽默话语为例,分析言语幽默的生成机制。以期证明认知语言学中的概念转喻理论能够为言语幽默的生成机制提供合理有效的认知理据。

Verbal humor is a kind of humor, there has been a variety of disciplines and perspectives on the study of verbal humor. This article tries to analyze the generation mechanism of verbal humor from the perspective of metonymy of cognitive linguistics, taking George Bernard Shaw’s humorous discourse as an example. In order to prove that the concept of metonymy in cognitive linguistics can provide reasonable and effective cognitive motivation for the formation mechanism of verbal humor.
