As early as 7 months after the United Nations Declaration of Universal Declaration was adopted, the Organization of American States adopted the first regional declaration on the protection of human rights in the world entitled “Declaration on the Rights and Duties of the Native Americans” (hereinafter referred to as “the Declaration”). This article intends to analyze and discuss the related issues of the evolution and development of the legal status of the Declaration. I.
