辽阳石油化纤公司研制、清华大学协作开发的“辽化关键机组监测诊断及维修决策信息系统”(即2MDIS),在辽化应用三年,成效显著,1992年8月27日通过了中国石化总公司组织的鉴定。该系统是以辽化关键的旋转机械机组为对象,以振动参数为主,集先进的计算机技术(软、硬件)、多种监测仪器及测试分析技术、现代管理方法、专家知识于一体建立起来的现代化管理模式。该系统能较准确地识别机组运行各个时期、各种条件下的状态,诊断可能发生的故障,在辽化投运后,成功地诊断了20多起故障和隐患,避免了重大事故两起。鉴定会上一致认为:远距离在线计算机辅助系统
