I. PROBLEMS Most offshore structures used for port projects such as offshore large wharfs and platforms have adopted steel structures. In previous years, some large-scale port projects introduced steel piles, coatings and anti-corrosion technology due to the shortage of steel products, the incomplete coating, the anti-corrosion technology and the poor construction management. For example, Baosteel Transportation Terminal and Beilun Port Ferry Terminal have imported more than 2,000 SS-41 and STK-50 steel pipe piles in the two projects together with a total of hundreds of millions of RMB of foreign exchange for supporting coatings. How to adopt domestic steel and paint in the future projects so that anti-corrosion technology reaches or approaches the world advanced level, to us
