在劳动公园南缘的绿山之巅,大连广播电视塔以城市标志性建筑的形象鸟瞰滨城。这座始建于1987年3月的电视塔隶属于大连广播电视发射台,塔体高190米,海拔高360米,是世界上首次采用空间桁架结构的钢塔,造型新颖,风格独特。2004年更名为大连观光塔,是国家aaa级景区和大连市“十佳”旅游景点之一。大连观光塔塔体强度能承受45米/秒的风荷载和烈度8度的地震荷载,塔件由新日本制铁株式会社制造,共用钢材1500吨。外观造型犹如航行在海洋之中的巨轮。1990年7月投入使用,承担着发射传输大连广播电视信号的任务。目前担负14套调
