通城县现有在校中小学生90095人,其中身体残疾的少年儿童234人,占学生总数的3.8％。他们能否受到良好的教育,关系到“普九”成果的巩固,关系到教育事业的整体发展。通城县教育局以“让通城的每一个孩子都受到良好的教育”为奋斗目标,优先发展特殊教育事业,被评为“残疾人工作先进单位”,受到湖北卫视《阳光》栏目组的特别报道。
There are 90095 primary and secondary school students in Tongcheng County, including 234 disabled children and adolescents, accounting for 3.8% of the total number of students.
