从走上工作岗位那天开始,陶然教授就像是一位雕刻大师,孜孜不倦地思索着、雕凿着、创造着、收获着……★雕凿事业在陶然教授的眼里,他的事业就是科技兴国、教书育人。多年来,陶然教授主要从事分数域信号与信息处理理论及应用研究,不仅享誉国内,而且更是该领域的国际知名学者。他十分重视将分数域信号处理与多活性代理信息系统理论结合,在国际上率先提出和建立了该领域诸多定理,这些成果均以长文形式发表,并被大量引用。他当选为IEEE中国联盟副主席,URSI中国委员会副主席,以及无线通信系统与信号处理委员会中国代表。

He was elected Vice Chairman of the IEEE China Alliance, Vice Chairman of the URSI China Committee, and China Representative for the Wireless Communications Systems and Signal Processing Committee.
