The sharp rise in prices, and later the relaxation of prices, was reflected in all aspects of social life in 1992. Last year’s wholesale prices in Russian industry have more than tripled. This year’s nine months has increased 17 times compared to the same period last year. During this period, the average wage in the national economy rose by 6.6 times. In recent months, their level of growth has been almost the same as the level of consumer price growth. High prices control the demand for purchases. In the nine months, the actual quantity of goods purchased by the residents was 39% lower than the same period of last year, and the tight goods were still not controlled.
