When dealing with complex sulphide ore, the recovery of precious metals symbiotic with sulphide ore has important economic benefits. In preferential flotation of pyritic zinc, lead and copper ores, most of the silver and gold symbiotic with pyrite were discarded in the tailings and other ore beneficiation methods were also studied. The ore is directly leached with an iron sulfate solution and the various components in the suspended solid are separated by a flotation method. The steps of this method are as follows: a solution of zinc sulphate is formed; gypsum (PbS) is converted to insoluble lead sulfate (PbSO 4) and together with precipitated goethite (FeOOH) and other insoluble gangues aggregate into non-floatable fractions; Separation of sulfur and undissolved sulphide ore in flotation products. A laboratory study of ore samples from the Delta mine in a pyrite deposit in Alaska shows that most of the gold and silver are enriched in flotage products. After the ore was leached with ferric sulphate, the total recovery of zinc reached 96.5-98.5%; during the leaching of ferric sulphate and subsequent ferric chloride about 85% of the copper was recovered from the ore. In addition, about 6% of the copper remains in the mixed product of non-floatable and leaching-flotation stages. Lead leaching was 98-99% when leaching non-floatable product with calcium chloride solution; silver recovery was 98% when ferric chloride solution leached from leftover product; leaching of flotation products with cyanide or thiourea The recovery rate is 71-89%.
