去年山西日报摄影部接连举办了三次新闻摄影比赛,分别叫作“巨龙杯”、“春笋杯”、“官庄杯”。作为一个报纸版面编辑,我认真读过三次新闻摄影比赛的全部人选作品之后,有所思,有所想、有所感、有所得,对于新闻摄影在报业中的地位和作用有了新的认识,急切地感到忽视新闻摄影的旧观念非变革不可。一“没有好照片就没有好版面”。这是从忽视新闻摄影的狭窄胡同里刚刚走出来的人自以为“脱胎”的“新观念”。其实,这种观念还没有从根本上摆脱把新闻摄影当作文字报道的附属品和配角、甚至装饰品的传统认识。当然,报纸要讲求版面的改革、突破、美。从美学的观点讲,一张报纸要以美的形象吸引读者,使人有清晰、明快的感觉,一见就喜欢,想看,甚至爱不释手,没有好照片是不可能的。前任美国总统里根有个
