(一)1993年以来,中国学术界开展了关于“人文精神”问题的热烈讨论。这场讨论由上海学者发起,然后波及北京、南京、广州,进而扩展到全国学术界,吸引了文、史、哲等各学科的专家和学者。由于这场讨论关系到现代中国文化选择的价值尺度之确立。具有极其重大的现实意义和深远的历史意义,因而在国内引起了比较广泛的注意,并且为致力于探寻21世纪人类精神之出路的西方学者以及关注中国社会未来走向的海外汉学家所瞩目。争论并不像有关综述描写得那么心平气和、温文尔雅,
(1) Since 1993, the Chinese academia has heatedly discussed the issue of “humanistic spirit.” The discussion was initiated by Shanghai scholars and then spread to Beijing, Nanjing and Guangzhou, further extending to academic circles in the country and attracting experts and scholars in various fields such as literature, history and philosophy. Since this discussion is related to the establishment of the measure of value of modern Chinese cultural choices. It has attracted a great deal of attention in the country and attracted the attention of western sinologists devoted to exploring the way of human spirit in the 21st century and overseas sinologists who pay attention to the future trend of Chinese society.
