田菁,又叫成菁,是一年生的豆科植物,喜湿润、耐瘠薄、抗盐耐涝,对土壤的适应性很强,是适宜盐碱涝洼地种植的优良绿肥植物。它原产南方,在我省不能结籽,自从辽菁一号、辽菁二号新品种育出后,近几年在我省逐步推广,它不但耐盐、抗涝性强,而且植株高大、枝叶繁茂、生长迅速、根系发达、鲜草产量高;田菁根系上,着生着许多根瘤,这些根瘤能从空气中固定的氮素养分,不但能供给植株发育生长,并且能残留在土壤中,对增加土壤的肥力将发挥着一定的作用。据多年实践探讨,田菁每亩可产鲜草4000—6000
