Before the “Big One” was held in the CCP, two groups emerged successively in the party-building activities in Guangzhou. One was established in the autumn of 1920 by a group of seven anarchists liaised with representatives of two Comintern nations and the other was a group established by Chen Duxiu southward in the spring of 1921 (hereinafter referred to as “the former group and the latter group” respectively). At present, historians have two opinions on the timing of establishing a society in Guangzhou: First, the former group in 1920 was only an anarchist organization and could not use it as a time for establishing the party in Guangzhou. Second, the former group is a communist party group. Only based on the previous group, Chen Duxiu developed the communist party group in Guangzhou. The former and latter groups have an inalienable continuity. The establishment of the Communist Party in Guangzhou should take place in the autumn of 1920. Due to the coexistence of the two parties and the failure to discover more new materials, the result has not been decided for several years
