我们的国家,现时正处在逐步地向社会主义社会过渡的时期。苏联建成社会主义的辉煌历史,证明列宁斯大林所发展的关於过渡时期的完整理论(过渡时期的意义和必要性,过渡时期的任务,过渡时期的经济结构与阶级斗争,过渡时期无产阶级政党的基本政策等)是完全正确的,因而对於我国向社会主义社会逐步过渡的事业,是有极大的指导意义的。但是由於我们自己的历史条件和苏联当年从资本主义向社会主义过渡时的情况有所不同,因而我国的过渡时期,就不能不带有自己的特点。列宁在“论对马克思主义的讽刺并论‘帝国主义的经济主义’”中曾经教导我们说:“一切民族都将走到社会主义,这是必然的。但所有民族并不是完全一模一样地走向社会主义,每个民族在民主的形式上,在无产阶级专政的形态上,在社会生活各方面的社会主义改造速度上,都各有自己的特点。”
