1980年,中央美术学院在江丰院长的倡议下成立了年画、连环画系,把我从版画系调过来负责这个新系的教学组织工作。我坚持研究生和本科生同时招(这对新建系是破格的)。研究生招了6名,年画、连环画各3名,韩喜增是年画专业的研究生。研究生一进校,我即安排他前往敦煌和永乐宫去临摹壁画,这是重要的一课。
In 1980, at the initiative of Jiang Feng, the Central Academy of Fine Arts set up the New Year Pictures and Comic Books Department to transfer me from the Department of Printmaking to take charge of teaching and organizing the new department. I insist graduate students and undergraduates at the same time (this is a broken new department). Graduate recruit 6, New Year, comic each 3, Han Xizeng New Year’s picture is a graduate student. As soon as the graduate student went to school, I arranged for him to go to Dunhuang and Yongle Palace to copy the frescoes. This is an important lesson.
