《红楼梦》与湖南有没有关系?有。而且还有很深厚的关系。笔者也是中国红学研究中第一个提出这类证据的人。从原著中潇湘妃子、史湘云、柳湘莲、焦大四个人物中就可以看出湖南色彩,而大观园景致则具有更浓厚的湖南气息。通过实地考证,可以发现大观园的原型地在湖南岳麓山。又通过八大证据,也可以托出《红楼梦》的前身--《石头记》的原作者可能就是湖广武陵人胡期恒。其中第三、第四、第五个证据特具说服力。
