1981年第2期刊载的上海同济大学张士铎同志的“钢筋混凝土梁长期与反复荷载作用下的裂缝计算”一文(以下简称“张文),分析、研究了国内外多种裂缝计算公式,着重对我国1975年《公路桥涵设计规范》(以下简称“公桥规”)裂缝公式进行了讨论,指出“公路桥规裂缝最大宽度计算公式并非试验所得,且无桥梁结构长期裂缝观测资料依据,当然不能反映长期与反复荷载作用下裂缝的开展”,为此,作者通过分析,提出了下面的推荐公式
