我们吉林省东丰县四平乡农民文化技术学校,是1990年9月建成并投入使用的,总投资10万多元。一年多来,我们立足乡情,紧紧围绕“科技兴农、富乡裕民”这一中心,在提高人的素质上下功夫,取得了明显的社会效益和经济效益。四平乡有果园738个,各种果树53万株,但懂技术、会管理的却仅有25人。针对这种情况,1990年9月,我们与县农广校联合办了果树园艺班,学制为1年,招生56人。这个班,还招收了8名旁听生。用他们自己的话说:“得不得证书都无关紧要,家里有果园,
