In order to understand the impact of the residential plateau on the cardiovascular health of young soldiers, 58 young adults of the same group who lived in an area above 5000m above sea level and lived for one year and returned to the plain for one year were examined by lateral X-ray and measurement of cardiovascular related indices . The results showed that the diameter of the heart was significantly reduced (P <0.01) after one year on the plateau; the area of the heart was reduced but the difference was not significant; the width of the heart, the diameter of the heart and the volume of the heart were significantly increased (P <0.001 or P <0.01); right atrium width, right atrium height diameter, right ventricular height diameter, left ventricular wall thickness, lung area, ascending aortic diameter, aortic node diameter, pulmonary artery diameter, pulmonary artery segment Degree and right inferior pulmonary artery diameter were significantly increased (P <0.001). After returning to the plain one year later, all the above indexes increased compared with that before the plateau, except the long diameter of the heart did not increase significantly (P <0.001), indicating that one year return to the area above 5000m One year after the plain, cardiovascular status and function are difficult to recover to the previous level of the plateau
