(一)计算机汉字终端显示概述: 目前国内电子计算机的应用正在扩大。不但在科学研究工程设计领域,而且在部队作战指挥,生产计划调度,财政管理;出版印刷等方面都迫切需要应用计算机。与此同时,很多不熟悉外文的管理人员,工人、战士将会接触到电子计算机。而目前的计算机语言都是用英语编写的,所以电子计算机在国内进一步推广应用就受到了阻止。 为此汉字的信息处理就变得极为重要了。我国去年已成立了“中国中文信息处理研究会”,并参加了“汉字资料及文稿处理”的国际会议。

Last year, China had set up a “China Information Processing Research Association” and participated in the international conference on “Handbook on Chinese Characters and Documents”.
