据《Gas Turbine World》2010年7~8月号报道,借助于最新的燃气轮机生产设计技术,通过对GT24燃气轮机的升级改进,与原装置的性能比较,GT24联合循环生产装置的额定输出功率从260 MW增加到275MW,效率从54.0%提高到57.5%。在Kelson装置上的主要变化如下:(1)压气机:通过2003年的升级改进,联合循环装置的净输出功率增加17 MW。(2)涡轮:通过2006年的升级改进,使输出功率增加了13 MW,并使热耗率降低120.6 kJ/(kWh)。(3)进气装置:具有空气加热、湿气分离和微粒子过滤的大的多级空气进口成套装置。压气机的改进包括重新设计静叶和动叶,并使质量流量增加约5%,从原来的390.1 kg/s增加到410.1
