程小青是我高中时代的国文老师,这是将近六十年以前的事了。那是在1945年,抗战刚刚胜利,苏州东吴大学复校,我考入了东吴附中。程小青老师在附中执教。他是中国侦探小说的鼻祖。我特别喜爱这一类体裁的小说,所以知道由他执教中文,心中暗暗高兴。记得上第一堂课的时候,程老师穿一套浅咖啡色柳条单排钮西装,虽刚年过五十,但已戴上老花眼镜,看学生的时候,微低着头,从镜片上端注视着我们。他喜欢坐着讲课,不常在黑板上写字。而恰是这第一堂课,给我的印象特别深刻:
