五堡枣原产哈密市五堡乡,栽培历史悠久,于1982年引种南疆29团场,生长枝繁叶茂,果实累累。果实卵圆形,个大整齐,纵、横径3.8×3.2厘米,平均鲜果重16.8克,最大果重24.2克;果顶凹,梗洼广深;果肉肥厚细腻,果汁少,风味清香甘甜,肉厚2.4厘米,白绿色,干后为桔黄色;核小,干核重0.5克,含仁率69%;鲜枣可食率95.2%,于枣可食率90.5%,制干率37.9～39.4%;鲜枣折光糖37%,成熟果实含水量低,自然风干快,不裂
