钱穆,一代儒宗,曾在北大清华执教,被美国耶鲁大学誉为“古老文化的代表者与监护人,把东方的智慧带出了樊笼,来充实自由世界”,并因此获得荣誉人文博士学位。谁能想到,连中学都没毕业的钱穆,是什么使他登上学问与事业的巅峰?应该说,他那个英才辈出的世代书香之家的熏陶、培养、教育起了很大的作用。正像钱穆堂兄、著名科学家钱伟长总结的那样:“我们钱家有一种家风是好的:长辈教育孩子,从不疾言厉色,更不打骂,而是示范,启导,熏陶。家父与四叔都是如此。祖祖辈辈都鼓励读书上进,学业有成,寓教于乐,注意方法,不是一味死读书。从孩子感兴趣的地方着手,在不知不觉中增长知识。”
