龙船花喜欢充足的阳光,喜高温高湿,适生温度20～28℃,耐半阴。喜欢富含腐殖质的偏酸性沙质壤土及塘泥,在红土地带地栽生长良好。我是这样养植的。盆栽每月施1～2次淡饼肥或鸡粪复合肥,每半个月施一次硫酸亚铁溶液。枝条长到20厘米时要摘心,促新芽,控制株形。每两年翻一次盆。龙船花多数品种畏寒,地栽到冬天气温低时不好管理,应尽可能盆栽。
