近年来,我多次到中国访问,参观了研究所和大学,看到了中国基础研究的优秀成果及研究者们那种严谨的科学态度,我感到中国确实贮备了扎实的技术研究基础并成功地培养了人材,在此基础上全力以赴进行着现代化建设。中国是东洋文明的发源地,与日本有一千五百年之久的友好关系。日本人民常为自己近百年来积累的日本科学技术能在中国现代化建设中发挥作用而感到高兴。日本是人口众多但资源贫乏的国家,因此在近四十年的时间中,一直不懈地学习国外科学技术,并努力进行独特的技术立国。回顾过去,我们既有成功的经验,也有失败的教训。下面就独创性科学研究与新技术开发阐述我们的看法。
In recent years, I have visited China many times, visited institutes and universities, saw the outstanding achievements of basic research in China and the rigorous scientific attitude of researchers. I feel that China has indeed accumulated a solid foundation in technology research and successfully On the basis of this, we have tried our best to carry out modernization.
