冀棉三号原名1167,是从2319选系经过三年单株选择、三年品系比较、两年全国区域试验评比选择而成,定名为冀棉三号。一、选育经过1972年自陕西省棉花研究所引进2319选系(亲本为136×中长一号,136是徐州209选系)的11个单株,全部是一级枯萎病株,平均衣分38.43%,平均绒长30.95mm。1973年种植16行,秋后从中选得49个单株。1974年种植84行,秋后从中选得18个株系。经室内考种,1975年选用三个株系(1167,1203,1234)参加品系预备试验,两个重复平均,对照陕棉四号
