2012年,赵一浅低调的在伦敦一家别致而生机盎然的小画廊The gallery@oxo里举办了个展《Living Room》。如同以往一样,他没有去追求一些宏大的理想主题,也没有参与80后艺术群体曾经的卡通热,而是抓取了同辈人生活及阅读中曾熟悉而又朦胧的物件,去描绘它们。这样的创作他从2006年毕业后一直持续着。客观评述文摘——顾振清通过画面,从微观叙事的层面来呈现他的关注对象,使观众感受到,在现实面前,充满困惑,伤感,无奈的情怀。作品中各种道具显然从工业产品造型上吸取了工业美学的特点,经过艺术家的消化后,没有卡通一代典型的甜和艳,如实地反映记忆符号的同时强调了某种沧桑感。
In 2012, Zhao held a solo exhibition “Living Room” at The gallery @ oxo, a chic, lively and small gallery in London. As usual, instead of pursuing ambitious ideals, nor engaging in cartoons that once existed in the post-1980s arts community, he captured the familiar and obscure objects of his contemporaries and read them. He has been working on this creation since he graduated in 2006.
