初中英语阅读理解在中考中占有相当重的比例,这是社会的发展的需要,也是新时代对中学生的提出的要求。而农村中学生在英语学习中普遍存在着阅读速度慢、理解能力弱的现象,猜测词义时或脱离语境,或一知半解,不能灵活变化;逻辑推理不严密,或以想当然代替,或以事实、举例代替,忽略推理的实质。导致这些问题的主要原因有:教师过分强调语言知识的灌输,忽视了学生阅读和理解能力的培养,忽视了学生良好阅读习惯的培养。
