叶春华同志在《新闻写作》一书中,对新闻五要素即通常所说的“五个w”提出异议,并且提出了一个新的“五要素”。对此,我想谈一点粗浅的看法。五个w,是说一则新闻报道,必须交代清楚时间(when)、地点(where)、人物(who)、事件(what)和原因(why)。叶文认为:“这不是新闻五要素”。五个w“这种说法并没有把新闻的特点和个性概括出来、揭示出来,没有把新闻这种独特的文体与其它文体区别开来。”五个w只是“‘新闻要用事实说话’这一基本要求的具体化”。事实上,“好多新闻并不都是五个w俱全
