50年代初,17岁的沈辛荪从家乡南考入上海交通大学。4年后,他带着优异的成绩踏上了北去的列车。此行,竟使他与祖国的航天事业结下不解之缘。 35年过去了。北京南郊昔日方圆数公里的坟场,今天已成了名播遐迩的“航天城”。沈辛荪这个年轻共和国培养起来的知识分子,今天已担起中国运载火箭技术研究院院长的重任。 当初,沈辛荪与全国各地100多名大学毕业生聚在这里,由以钱学森为首的一批专家带领着,开始走上研制导弹的艰难历程。
In the early 1950s, Shen Xinsun, 17, was admitted to Shanghai Jiao Tong University from his hometown. Four years later, he set foot on the northbound train with excellent results. This trip actually made him and the motherland’s space cause forged an indissoluble bond. 35 years have passed. The cemetery, a few kilometers past the southern suburbs of Beijing, has become a famous “space city” today. Shen Xin Sun, an intellectual trained in this young republic, has assumed the important task of dean of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology today. At the beginning, Shen Xinsun and more than 100 university graduates from all over the country gathered here, led by a group of experts led by Qian Xuesen and embarked on the difficult course of developing missiles.
