作为戏曲艺术,总要反映时代生活。表现清代生活的戏曲剧目,基本上是成功的。新中国成立后创作的现代戏,观众叫“话剧加唱”。“文化大革命”中创作的样板戏,尽管大家说三道四,但问题并没有解决。中国戏曲的特点不仅是唱,从剧本到舞台,到表演,都是有别于话剧的。评剧《杨三姐告状》所描写的生活和今天差别不大,是编导人员注意了戏曲化,所以像戏。我们有些现代戏不像戏的原因,是剧本、舞台、表演都没有戏曲化。
