The seminar on comic art by Shen Tongheng, an old cartoonist sponsored by China Artists Association Comic Art Committee, China News Comics Research Society and People’s Daily, was held in Beijing on February 21 to celebrate his 80th birthday and 65 years of progressive art activities. Shen Tongheng, born in 1914 in Baoshan County, Shanghai, graduated from Xinhua Art College. He was active in Wuhan, Guilin, Chongqing, Shanghai and Hong Kong with his own name and Shi Dong, Stone, orgasm and other pseudonyms to contribute to the Anti-Japanese War, the New Democratic Revolution and the motherland’s construction.
