从５０年代至今，云南省收集、引进省内外、国内外花生品种资源累计４４４份，直接利用于生产，推广面积较大的有２８个品种，间接利用于生产，经系选、杂交转化后育成的优良品系有５个，直接利用于生产的品种主要是广东省的引进种，间接利用于生产的品种主要是广东省品种的系选种和山东大粒花生与云南本地种的杂交后代种。
