威灵仙辛温微苦,能祛风湿、通经络、消痰涎、散癖积,一般用于治疗骨鲠,急、慢性扁桃腺炎和丝虫病等,用作引产则未见有报导.我们取其鲜根,清水洗净后,用碘酊和75%酒精消毒,然后沿孕妇子宫壁徐徐送入宫腔,直至有阻力为止.通过149例多种月份的孕妇的临床使用,引产有效率为95.6%(其中不全产14.6%).多数在上药后24至48小时内流产.但有高烧、寒颤等副反应,给药方法也不理想,为此,我们与温江地区卫校一起作了进一步研究.据初步分析,威灵仙根中含有皂甙、酚、酸、中、碱性成份,挥发性成份,糖类和色素类物质.通过动物试验观察,我们试制的咸灵仙13号、17
