In the design of cement mines, analogical construction and production of limestone rock compressive strength can provide basis for rock drilling, crushing equipment selection, blasting parameter selection and so on. If the measured compressive strength of rock is too high, it will have an adverse effect on the design of the mine. This article intends to conduct some discussion on this in order to attract attention. In general, limestone compressive strength (kg/cm~2) is 600 to 1400 in the vertical plane and 500 to 1200 in the parallel plane. However, when we designed the Matoshan limestone mine in 1979, the measured compressive strength of the rock (kg/cm~2) was: the vertical level of the second-layer mine was 1459.
