有位编辑说,我一走进夜班编辑室就发怵。心想:一天的推磨又要开始了,又是一大堆稿,要看、改、删、排、制题、计算字数、设计版样、看报样,整天和各种铅字、花线打交道,天天如此,象个走马灯。日复一日,年复一年,单调、枯燥、乏味。夜班编辑无非是个文字匠、组版匠,哪一天能到头呢? 作为一个版面编辑,乍一听,好象是那么回事。细细想,则不尽然。长期的版面编辑工作使我逐渐认识到夜班编辑岗位的重要。版面编辑绝不是个单纯的文字匠、组版匠,而是一个特殊评论员、厨师、守门员。 One editor said that as soon as I entered the night shift editorial room, I started.
