今年一月三日起,包括法国、中国、美国、西德在内的四十三个国家参加了在新德里举办的第九届世界电影节。在为期两周的电影节期间,东道主印度放映了十九部影片,分别作为参加比赛和观摩之用。美国放映了十一部影片,西德放映了七部影片,法国五部,苏联三部,中国一部。一个评选专家小组在首先看完所有的参加比赛的六十八部影片之后,从中挑选出二十到二十五部作为正式参加评比的影片,提交评议委员审查。
Since January 3 this year, 43 countries, including France, China, the United States and West Germany, participated in the Ninth World Film Festival in New Delhi. During the two-week film festival, host India showed 19 films for participation in competitions and observances respectively. Eleven films were shown in the United States, seven in West Germany, five in France, three in the Soviet Union and one in China. A panel of judges selected 20 to 25 films as the official entries for the contest after first reviewing all the 68 films selected for the competition and submitting them to the reviewers for review.
