阿万提是一个勤奋的人,一个聪明的人,一个有率直个性的人,也是一个有悟性和有创造精神的人。 阿万提走到画坛上来,可以说历经千辛万苦,克服了常人想象不到的困难。他虽然出生在传统文化底蕴很深的浙江东阳,家学也很渊博,可是青少年时未能得到正规的艺术教育。1958年他中学毕业后自愿报名到新疆支边,在石河子一家染织厂做了十多年提花纹织的设计工作。
