Objective: To investigate the clinical value of tumor markers in the detection of gastric cancer and pathological examination. Methods: Sixty specimens of gastric cancer confirmed by pathology were selected as the observation group. Gastric mucosa specimens from 60 patients with benign lesions were selected as the control group. Pathological examination was performed on the observation group. VEGF levels were also measured in both groups. Results: The positive expression rate of VEGF in the observation group was 86.7%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (35.0%), the difference was significant (P <0.05) The degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage were positively correlated (P <0.05). Conclusion: The results of VEGF markers in detecting gastric cancer are closely related to the results of pathological examination. The expression of VEGF is increased with the occurrence of tumor lymphatic metastasis, pathological differentiation and clinical stage.
