我想在这里谈谈两个问题——基本物理量的符号问题和外国人名的汉译问题,这也是科技界从专家以至业余爱好者大家所普遍关心的问题.先谈谈物理量采用的符号.就国内常见的科技资料来看,一般采用量的符号的文字系统大致上可以分成四类:1.俄文——拉丁文——希腊文系统;2.英文——希腊文系统;3.花体德文——希腊文——拉丁文系统;4.俄文——拉丁文——希腊文——中文混合系统.国内见得到的,以1,2类最多;以世界范围而论,以第2类的科技文献最多;而在中文科技书上,许多都用着第4类.
I would like to talk about two issues here - the issue of the symbol of basic physical quantities and the problem of the translation of foreigners’ names - and this is also a common concern in science and technology circles from experts and hobbyists to talking about the symbols used in physical quantities. In terms of common domestic scientific and technical information, generally used symbols of the text system can be roughly divided into four categories: 1. Russian-Latin-Greek system; 2. English-Greek system; 3. Flower German-Greek-Latin system; 4. Russian-Latin-Greek-Chinese hybrid system. The second category has the largest number of scientific and technical documents, while in Chinese science and technology books, many use the fourth category.
