目前,我国淘金者常用氰化法选金。一般用百分之零点二的氰化钠或氰化钾溶液处理粉碎了的含金矿砂,然后通入空气,金粒溶解,再加锌屑于溶液中将金析出。在氰化法选金过程中,由于对氰化物处理不当,可造成对水土的环境污染。氰化物遇酸则产生氰化氢而污染空气;在热处理时,氰化物可形成蒸气。淘金者倘吸入一定浓度含氰气体和氰化物粉尘,均可引致氰中毒。氰化物是一种剧毒的化学物质。误服氰化钠100—300毫克
