With the approval of the State Science and Technology Commission, the “International Conference on Ergonomics, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment” co-hosted by China Metallurgical Society and Darling Don College of Higher Education in Australia was held in Beijing from October 25 to 28, 1988. More than 300 delegates from 30 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Italy, the Federal Republic of Germany, Sweden, the Soviet Union, Japan, India, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Hong Kong and Macao attended the conference More than 200 foreign representatives and members.
