蔡和森又名蔡林彬,1895年3月30日生于上海,原籍湖南双峰县。1931年8月,被广东军阀枪杀,时年36岁。蔡和森是我国著名报人,中共早期知名的领导人,杰出的理论家、革命家、宣传家。在研究译介马克思主义,发展中共党组织、推进革命形势高涨等方面具有突出贡献,特别是在担任中共中央机关报《向导》主编时,极大地传播了中国共产党的革命理念,使该报成为引领当时有识之士奋战的思想灯塔。
