小型图书馆实行计算机管理,有着非常有利的条件:(1)图书馆自动化发展为小型图书馆自动化提供了物质技术基础。(2)图书馆事业的发展提出了这一要求。(3)许多小型馆多年来积累的工作经验和成果,特别是文献著录标准化,为计算机工作打下了良好的基础。(4)所需投资金额小。(5)藏书量小,短时间内可开通使用。(6)各种办学形式开办的图书馆学系都开设了有关图书馆现代化技术的课程,为技术队伍的建设,创造了一定的条件和基础。但是我们还要看到一些不利的因素(1)对图书馆自动化管理的认识不够;(2)专项资金不雄厚;(3)管理人员的微机知识水平较低。

(3) The management personnel have a low level of computer knowledge.
