由于传统观念的束缚,长期以来人们往往认为图书馆的主要任务是收集和保存文化遗产,为来馆阅读和索借的读者做些“借与还”的服务工作。这种陈腐的观念正在受到改革大潮的冲击。只满足于收收发发,取刊上架远不能适应当今形势的需要。要使图书馆的工作受到社会的重视、读者的欢迎,就必须积极地开动脑筋,开拓新的方式主动地为读者服务,摒弃重藏轻用的传统观念和借借还还的传统工作模式。
Due to the shackles of traditional concepts, people often think that the main task of libraries is to collect and preserve cultural heritage, and to provide “borrow and repay” service for readers who read and borrow books from libraries. This stale concept is being hit by the tide of reform. Only satisfied with the collection of hair, read the shelf far can not adapt to the needs of today’s situation. In order to make the work of the library receive the attention of the society and the readers’ welcome, we must actively use our brains and explore new ways to serve the readers on our own initiative, abandon the traditional concepts of rebuilding Tibet and borrowing the traditional mode of work.
