去年冬季,我院准备排演一个以“二七”大罢工为题材的舞台剧,纪念今年“二七”三十五周年。当时我们曾读到两个有关“二七”题材的舞台剧本,但都因故没有采用。组织上根据剧院同志们的要求,决定我和肖崎同志一齐利用业余时间另写一个“二七”题材的剧本,还组织了一个艺术核心小组,会同剧院艺术委员会常务委员,进行督促、审查和帮助。那时我正与天健同志赶导“丽人行”,时间很紧,常在深夜学习研究有关“二七”的史料,进行剧本的构思,与肖崎商量,并及时向艺委会常委和核心小组朗读初步提纲,争取大家提意见,最后确定写成三幕七场。肖崎曾写过三场,没有披通过,须要重写,他因事没有继续执笔,组织就决定全剧由我执笔写完。

Xiao Qi had written three games, did not pass through, you need to rewrite, because he did not continue writing, the organization decided to write the full play by me.
