王维之诗常采取“以不写为写”的手法,间接表现出文字之外的景物和事件。从而使其诗歌的内涵更丰富,艺术上也更含蓄蕴藉。王维诗中的自然景物甚多,泉石村巷、牛羊雉鸟、农人樵夫、飞花落叶等皆可入诗。王诗中的人物场景也不少,饯送留别、行旅过访、应制唱和、游览玩笑等也都可下笔。诗人或将不一样的景物剪裁组合,或将不连续事件拼接排列,采取各种方法在文字外给读者留下巨大的想象空间,在这个空间里造出了“景外之景”和“事外之
