中国共产党重庆市第一次代表大会于5月27日至6月1日在市委礼堂隆重举行。这是设立重庆直辖市后第一次召开的党代会。这次会议肩负着重大的历史使命:审议和通过中共重庆市委关于《制定重庆市国民经济和社会发展“九五”计划和2010年远景目标纲要的建议》;通过了关于中共重庆市第一次代表大会报告的决议;选举产生了中共重庆市第一届委员会和中共重庆市纪律检查委员会。整个大会体现了700多名代表绘制新重庆跨世纪蓝图和建设新重庆的坚强决
The First Congress of the Communist Party of China Chongqing Municipality was held ceremoniously in the municipal auditorium from May 27 to June 1.
