Sodium silicate sand was widely used in foundry production as early as the 1950s. Casting plant in our factory is responsible for the production of 134 kinds of steel castings for diesel locomotives and railroad vehicles. Except for furan resin sandwiched tongue, all others are made of water glass sand molding and core making. However, one of the most important shortcomings of sodium silicate sand is the slow hardening of sand (core) in winter, large consumption of CO 2, deformation of sand (core), serious damage and low work efficiency.
